What is the difference between 'Auto' and 'Low Speed' mode on my EdgeStar FP Series portable freezer?

Your EdgeStar FP Series Portable Freezer allows for 2 modes of cooling performance.  The factory default is for the unit to run in the 'Auto' mode.  In Auto Mode, the freezer will utilize up to 5.4 amps of power to cool to the set temperature as quickly as possible.  When in "Low Speed" mode, the freezer will utilize only 2.5 Amps of power to cool the set temperature.  The lowered power consumption will save energy, however will require additional time to fully cool.

See below FP Series Control Panel Image and basic operating instructions:

1. To set the desired temperature, press the SET button and while the LED Display is flashing, use the + and - Buttons to set the desired temperature.

2. To set the cooling speed mode setting, press the MODE button to switch between "Auto" and "Low Speed".  The corresponding indicator light will illuminate accordingly.

3. To turn the unit off, press and hold the MODE button for 5 seconds.
