No! Air conditioners designed to be installed in a window opening cannot be used interchangeably with units designed to be built in or installed through a wall. A standard window mounted air conditioner cannot be installed in a window opening of window sleeve intended for a through the wall style air conditioner unit. Window mount style air conditioner units are vented thru the side of the unit, while a through the wall air conditioner is vented through the back of the unit. Installing a window unit into a wall sleeve will significantly inhibit the ability of the unit to properly vent and will impact performance, energy efficiency and product life. Improper installation or use may cause product damage.
