My Koldfront window air conditioner is displaying an error code. What does it mean?

Your window air conditioner has sensors to monitor for various conditions that may prevent the unit from operating in a normal manner.  Please refer to your user manual for error codes and operating instructions for your specific model.  

The below error codes apply to the following Koldfront models of window air conditioners:

• WAC8001W/12001W/18001W/25001W
• WAC8802WCO/1002WCO/12002WCO
• WTC800W/10001W/12001W

Error Codes

 AS - Room temperature sensor error

 - Evaporator temperature sensor error

 HS - Electric Heating sensor error

For the above error codes, unplug the unit, wait 1-2 minutes and plug back in.  If problems persist, please consult with an authorized technician or contact EdgeStar Service at 800-297-6076.  Please have your model number and serial number available.
